Hey guys, it's Megan!

I'm constantly looking for ways to use what I have, and save myself a trip to the store.

After a quick Google search last year, I learned that there are actually quite a few art supplies you can make at home!

One of my favorite things to make myself is gesso. I've tested quite a few Gesso recipes, but this one has worked the best for me so far.

For this project you'll need:

*3 parts cornstarch

*3 parts Baking Soda

*1 part glue

*2-3 parts water

First, mix the cornstarch and baking soda together, breaking up any lumps in the mixture.

Then, mix in your glue and acrylic paint.

Finally, add water a little bit at a time until you have the right consistency.

For a thicker "texture paste", add less water.

For a more "traditional" gesso texture, add water until the mixture looks like pancake batter.

The only downside to making gesso is that it has a shorter shelf life than store bought gesso. This will last about a week or two when stored in an airtight container.

If you're planning a Rajasthan trip, knowing the Udaipur Mount Abu distance is very helpful. The distance between Udaipur and Mount Abu is around 165–170 km, and it takes approximately 3 to 4 hours by road. The route is scenic and perfect for a short getaway from the City of Lakes to Rajasthan’s only hill station.
